Privacy

Cantro is a small operation out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. This page explains what we collect about you when you visit our site or place an order, what we do with it, and how to ask us to delete it. We've written it in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, please tell us and we'll fix it.

What we collect

We collect as little as we can to make the site work and ship your order.

  • When you place an order: your name, email, shipping address, and the items in your cart. Payment information (card numbers, billing details) is collected and processed directly by Shopify Payments. We never see or store your card number.
  • When you use the contact form: your name, email, and the message you send. We use this to reply to you.
  • When you visit any page: standard web request data (IP address, browser type, the page you visited) that Shopify processes to deliver the page and protect against abuse.

What we do with it

  • Fulfill and ship your order.
  • Reply to your questions.
  • Send order confirmation and shipping updates via email.
  • Keep records for tax and accounting (typically 7 years).

We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not email you marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

Only the providers we need to run the business:

  • Shopify for storefront, payments, and order processing. Their privacy policy: shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • UPS for shipping. They need your address to deliver your order.

Cookies

Shopify sets cookies during checkout to keep your session secure; that's standard for any commerce platform. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can contact us to:

  • Ask what data we have about you.
  • Correct anything that's wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your data (subject to records we're required to keep for tax purposes).
  • Opt out of any email we send beyond order-related messages.

If you're a resident of Virginia, California, or another state with consumer-privacy rights, those rights apply to you and we'll honor them.

Children

Cantro is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes we'll do our best to notify recent customers by email.
